Online Singing Lessons with Roberto Delli Carri
A study path of online singing lessons built around your voice
Are you looking for high-level online singing lessons tailored to your specific vocal needs? Every voice is unique: that is why every study path I propose is completely customized and built around the characteristics, goals, and vocal physiology of each individual student.
For over twenty years I have helped singers of all levels — from beginners to professionals, up to singing teachers — to develop a more efficient, free, and expressive vocal technique through my online singing lessons and the MIX methodology, developed through my experience as a Master Teacher for the Institute for Vocal Advancement (IVA), international trainer, and author of the book iMIX – Vocal technique according to the MIX methodology.
The goal of online singing lessons is not simply to “sing higher” or “have more range”, but to build a reliable, versatile voice capable of expressing your artistic personality in any repertoire.
How does the first online singing lesson work?
The first lesson and subsequent ones can be 30, 45, or 60 minutes long, serving both as an in-depth vocal assessment and a true singing lesson. During this initial session, we will analyze together how your voice functions and immediately start working on areas for improvement.
Initial consultation
We will discuss your experience, the goals you wish to achieve, the repertoire you love to sing, any vocal difficulties, and your previous background. This allows me to understand not only the singer you are today, but also the artist you wish to become.
Vocal analysis
Through specific piano exercises, we will observe how your voice behaves. We will evaluate:
- • vocal register coordination
- • bridge (passaggio) management
- • balance among different vocal mechanisms
- • freedom in vocal emission
- • vocal range and dynamic control
- • tonal quality and vocal stamina
- • any interfering tensions limiting your performance
The goal is not only to understand what happens when you sing, but above all why it happens.
Immediate application
Technique acquires true value only when it turns into music. We will immediately apply our findings to the songs you want to sing, working on:
- • applied technique
- • interpretation
- • style and phrasing
- • artistic intention
- • overcoming repertoire challenges
In this way, you will feel from the very first lesson how technical work concretely improves your performance.
Customized plan
At the end of the session, you will receive a clear explanation of what we observed, the technical priorities to focus on, and the most effective strategies to achieve your goals. I will also recommend the study frequency best suited to your needs.
How do subsequent lessons take place?
Every lesson is built according to your progress. We can alternate:
-
technical work and customized vocal exercises
-
application to song repertoire
-
preparation for auditions and concerts
-
preparation for studio recording sessions
-
development of interpretation and style
-
artistic coaching
Technique is never studied as an exercise in itself: every improvement is immediately transferred to the music.
Can I record the lessons?
Yes. You can record each lesson in its entirety (audio or video) for personal use. This allows you to listen back to all explanations, repeat exercises with precision, track your progress, and arrive fully prepared for the next session.
Many students consider this feature one of the most valuable tools of the entire path.
Can I choose when to have my lessons?
Absolutely, yes. There are no fixed days or required times. You can book each session freely by selecting from available dates and times that best fit your personal or professional schedule — ideal for shift workers or those living in different time zones abroad.
Can I choose the duration?
Yes. You can choose the format that best suits you:
- 30 minutes: Ideal for maintaining continuity or addressing a very specific goal.
- 45 minutes: The balanced solution combining technical work and repertoire.
- 60 minutes: Recommended for an in-depth focus on technique, interpretation, style, and repertoire.
How often should I take lessons?
There is no single schedule that works for everyone. The choice depends on your goals, available time, starting level, commitments, and budget. Some students train weekly, others bi-weekly, and others once a month. Together, we will determine the most effective pace for you.
Who are the lessons designed for?
The lessons are designed for beginners, amateur singers, professionals, vocal coaches, actors, musical theatre performers, public speakers, voice actors, content creators, and musicians who wish to develop their voice.
Technique at the service of expression
I believe technique is not the ultimate destination, but the vehicle. An effective technique should not make everyone sound the same, but empower each artist to express themselves with greater freedom, control, and authenticity.
For this reason, every exercise, explanation, and pedagogical choice has a single goal: to help you transform what you feel inside into music, without technique ever becoming an obstacle.
